One semester down, two more to go

Well, it finally happened, I've officially completed one semester of school! Last exam was this morning. After it was completed, I went out to lunch with Candice. That was way cool. I now have a special lunch spot with friends from school, it's Sweet Christine's in Fairfax.

The 'restaurant' is a very girlie place. The wall are brilliant pink. I think there are five tables, total. The food is wonderful and the desserts are just beyond description. The coffee isn't bad, either. I'm thinking of having a graduation tea there when the program ends. None of the ladies that I've talked to are very interested in walking with the graduating class in May, so maybe we will have our own special graduation tea in August at Sweet Christine's. The fact that is it only about 5 minutes from school is nice, too.

How did I do grade wise? I'm not sure, but I do expect to pass everything. I hope not to get any C's. I'd like a solid A (and not just A-) in a couple of classes. And I got one B+ that I know of for certain. I don't get the whole + - thing. When I went to school before you just got one grade, not a plus/minus after the grade. I suppose it's good, but I'm not certain. And it really doesn't matter what I think regardless.

I haven't got the whole Christmas thing done at all. I only have the rest of this week to pull it off. On Wednesday I'm shopping with my mom to help her get a couple of things for my family. What I really need to do is figure out what I need to get for my family and the Grandmas. It's not good to have this hanging until now, but what other choice was there?

Only my youngest has presents ready for the family. Nice that someone in the house is organized!

Oh, I was late making my payment to Kohl's and they charge a $25 dollar missed payment fee. I always pay off my total bill when it comes due (and I haven't had a bill this year before). I was bothered by the fee so I called to cancel the charge card and they were so, "You are such a good credit client, blah, blah, blah, we will take that charge off and the interest for the payment." So I said "Ok". I mean, why not? I now owe them $3.65. But they won't take that payment over the phone. I either have to mail in that amount (I don't think so) or stop by the store and pay it. Which means, of course, that I will shop in the store again. Um, they win!

That and I just got the 15% off the entire purchase on the day of my choice coupon in the mail. Too bad I just spent $80 buying my elder son jeans so he would not have to wear his pajama bottoms to school anymore. Ugh!

Oh, I guess I have one child taken care of for Christmas. :-)

I cancelled my Kohl's account in August after getting hit with a couple of those late charges. I had the payments in the mail before the due date, but they have no mercy.

Ah, but did you try to get them to take your 'late fees' off? Either way, it's pretty steep if you ask me. I think the charge was only $75 and the fee was $25. I like my American Express account better.
