school/work/births

A reflection of the last few weeks brings me to the conclusion that I live life to it's fullest. I don't sleep much, I don't meditate or contemplate as much as I would like, but I do have my moments of fun!

This month, starting from the 2nd, I have attended 5 births. This is not by plan, but necessity as one of my partners has been sick. Hopefully she will recover soon and the crazy birth schedule will be reduced.

School is a bit lighter in terms of the NUMBER of classes I am taking, but not in terms of the amount of information I need to acquire. I have a test on Monday that I've been studying for all weekend (except, of course when I could have been sleeping, but was at a birth instead).

I don't watch television. I do listen to books on tape in the Lexus as I drive to and fro. I don't see my family much, but everyone called me yesterday on the phone (all the sisters and my mom). I do see the kids everyday. The youngest in the AM before school and then again in the afternoon. The oldest living here whenever he gets out of bed, which is never early.

Speaking of B. I found out on Friday that he had been dropped from his classes because his student loan wasn't applied to his account. Monday he and I will work through the statement and figure it all out. Of course I have a test Monday morning and would rather cram, but his education is also important to me so I will go and help figure it all out with him. I have class from 10:30 to 4:30, so not much chance of figuring it out in the afternoon. The only time I have free to help him is Wednesday morning, but I think by then he will be OUT, so I am hoping to get him back in before then. Too bad the school was closed due to ice on Friday. That would have been the perfect day to work it all out (even is it was my birthday!)

Back to the life reflections....I have not had time for yoga in WEEKS and I miss it. I was all set to go today, that is, until 4 AM when I left for the birth. Oh well, maybe next week?

Speaking of work, I went to my first job interview on Thursday evening. It was with the county health department. Nice benefits. Okay work. I'm interested and would consider it if they are interested. I need to send in an application in July if I want to be hired in August/September. I have everything they could want in a school nurse/public health nurse, but I'm not sure if I will go there or somewhere else. I have other options to explore. But it's a definite possibility. Nice to see they hire in the 50's. I hope I can make that when I'm done with school. Someone has to pay back the Stafford loans. (mine, N's, B's - the ones he DID get!) Ah well..... first this test, then think about the future.
