It's a weekend!!! Yippeee!!! As one of my co-students said, 'It's sad that I'm looking forward to a three day weekend so I can study more!" So true. I'm looking forward to it for the very same reason.
Updates: B's car was considered totaled by the insurance adjuster. Bummer. B wants the car back but I don't think that can happen. B lost control on a gravel road and hit a tree. Bummer for sure.
K's car is back from the repair shop after hitting the car in front and being hit from behind. K was given a ticket for reckless driving which the officer said he HAD to give, although he didn't think K was responsible or reckless. In court they reduced it to 'failure to maintain control of the vehicle' and K has a $50 fine and a class to attend. Three years of good driving lost in a moment.
So we are left with a rental car and a need to get something else for B. An old beat up vehicle would be nice. ;-) I'm not sure the outcome of this one.
I probably am getting a B in my Peds class. It's a bit confusing to me how it all works out, but I just have to do my best and hope it's enough. At least I didn't fail. I'm studying for a research midterm this weekend, which is a bit scary as I don't really know what's going on in that class. Opps! And I have to study OB because we have our first quiz. It's not that I don't know much of what is going on, I do, but I need to know the terms and parameters that she has decided are the ones important for me to know. Some of it I disagree with, but it really doesn't matter what I think of don't think for this particular class. I don't have a good read on the teacher yet. I don't know if she is open to what I know from experience or not. It is amazing how much you do learn from just being out there doing the work.
Hey to BT! I'm glad you got an account again and can read the blog. I'm thinking about you out there in the HOT ZONE while the temps here have been in the 80's and 90's for the past couple of weeks. And we have had no RAIN in 22 days. Really strange weather for sure. I'm not complaining. I don't look forward to walking around campus with an umbrella. I do enjoy seeing the trees with leaves and want that to stay as long as possible. It's a strange fall for sure.
My plans include going to a ballet this evening. It's the one thing I wanted to keep up with this year...I get several free tickets for performances on campus and I want to take advantage of that. I missed the first two performances I got tickets for, so I hope I get to the ballet tonight.
No soccer this weekend. Last weekend I was studying for the Peds final and I only got to see about 20 minutes of J's game. Thankfully, the part I did get to see was J's goal! The first with this team and I was right at the right spot at the right time. Who knew? I'm very happy it happened this way. J's asked me if I needed to go study at half time, and so I left and went to study.
K is camping in the Smoky Mtns this weekend with E and his parents. I guess they are all big campers. Who wouldn't want to be camping in the Smoky Mtns this weekend? Sign me up!
DH's mom turns 77 today. He is going down to see her with N and B. I hope they have a great time. I will get some quiet in the house to study...Yeah!???
