From Matt, my clinical school mate

Hey everyone,

Unfortunately my grade appeal from the peds clinical did not go well
and I have to wait until next year to finish. I just wanted to thank
everyone for their support through the last several weeks, which for
various reasons have been some of the hardest of my life. I have never
been a part of such an amazing and talented group of people as this,
and I'm very disappointed that I won't be able to finish the summer
with you.

I know there has been a lot of complaining about things that are less
than ideal in this program, and I agree with most of it, but at this point
none of it will change my situation even though I appreciate all of the
support I have received. Realizing that advice is worth exactly what
it costs, I have two pieces of it for you all anyway: first, don't get sick,
and second, try not to let all of the BS get in the way of what you need
to do to get through and pass NCLEX this year.

In the meantime, I'll be working the ICU at Sibley (translation:
changing poopy diapers for old people) and haunting various golf courses
in the area. If anyone needs anything, send me an email or call:
something@yahoo.com
or 555-555-2751. I would love to come and
celebrate in August if a real graduation party is organized or join in any
occasion involving consumption of ethanol-containing beverages...
best of luck

-Matt

P.S. My wife and I will be making another trip this July to an
orphanage in Honduras, if anyone is interested in donating items
(or money) for the children, let me know. I can find out what
kinds of supplies or clothing types and sizes are needed.
