Baby Damaris

Letter in my email box this morning from the mother of the baby who
passed last week...

We are having a memorial service for Damaris at our church
on Wednesday evening. There is a pot-luck supper before the
service which starts at 6:30. The church address is xxx.

We buried her Friday at my family's farm. Since we were
doing all the body preparation ourselves rather than using
a funeral home, we had to take care of that part more quickly.

Recovery, both emotionally and physically is coming along.
The most significant contributor to that was the medical
examiner's finding that she died from an inoperable heart
defect(fibrosis of the left ventricle). In some ways, I
think it is amazing that her little heart held out so long.
Learning that nothing could have been done to change the
outcome was definitely an answer to prayer.
