I am still waiting for the books I ordered last week to arrive. It's pretty frustrating waiting.... I hope they come in tomorrow.
B is now serving his 90 days for reckless driving, 80 in a 55 mph zone. Harsh, but perhaps the wake up call he needs in his life? He spent 36 hours in the 'holding' jail, which is really the drunk tank. No bed, no blanket, only food was bologna sandwiches, 3 times a day. Interesting note: I had taken him to the doc before his incarceration for a weight analysis, and he was only 142 lbs. He is 6'3"+, so that's pretty light. His BMI was only 17, definitely underweight. Because I brought in a doc note to the jail (which is another story) and given it to them, the nurse weighted him on Friday. He weighed 145 on there scales. Today when he called he said they took him into the second 'holding area', which is a 48 hour processing cell. He now has a blanket, but still no tooth paste or anything like that (usually they get one 'starter' set, but he got nothing)... The nurse weighed him again and he'd lost 3 pounds. The good news is that at least they are paying attention to his weight.
Not that it has made any difference at this point, he still gets bologna sandwiches for all his meals, but maybe when he is in "population" he will get more food. It would be nice to see him actually gain a little weight. He has also been suffering sweats and jitters, but that is from lack of nicotine and caffeine, imo. On a better note, he said that he got together with a group of other 6 other guys in the cell and prayed with them last night. That was hopeful. The cat * is /trying to hlep me type.... Look the only mouse here is not alive! Ugh. *///a
Tomorrow I will meet again with Suzette and Andy. Hopefully our study sessions are helping me (us) get more studying done. It's not easy this stuff is just too much! I'm looking forward to those two books, to help direct the time. I'm also thinking about going away for a week by myself. I'd like the down time, but I'm not sure it will happen (ever!). Maybe 3 or 4 days?
