The past two days

Since blogging in the last time I have been busy! I've been at births. The first one was pretty rapid (yeah) but we had a nasty postpartum hemorrhage and a dizzy mother for quite a while. She made it home okay and I finished cleaning the birth center only to get home with zero sleep for the night. And I should mention that I tried to sleep before going out at 1 AM but I only had a nightmare. I hope it wasn't a harbinger of things to come!

I slept for about 2 hours and then I needed to get up to pee. I hate getting old! But I also needed to take care of my kids and some paperwork. I ran the permission/medical release stuff for J to the docs office and then I went back to sleep for an additional 2 hours. Then I was up.

When I tried to go to sleep for the night I got a call to go to another birth. I've been here for over 20 hours and we don't have a baby yet. I'm thinking we are needing to transfer to the hospital, and my feeling is we need a section. I hope I'm wrong, but things are not looking right.

I did have some paperwork (the stuff I was waiting for all weekend) to get back to the school but I was too tired to drop if off yesterday. I called K and she took it to the school for me. And J&K picked up the forms from the docs. So my day, although barely what you would call productive, has something that got checked off as completed.

I'm hoping to stop by the house for a quick shower and change of close before heading into the hospital. More to come...
