What a difference a day makes! I have had some rest, and I have had time to think and recover from the whirlwind of the last week. And what a beautiful day it was today. Wow, it was perfect weather. Can't get any better in my humble opinion.
I was up early (I guess my body is getting used to the early mornings) and on the computer. I wanted to update all my class notes and printouts. There really are a lot of pages to be printed for this program. I'm trying to learn WebCT, which is the computer program the school uses. I was very used to Blackboard, which Liberty, Nova and Fairfax County Public School uses. The learning curve has been a little steep. I'm still not sure I've gotten everything I was supposed to have gotten off the WebCT yet. I might have to stop by the tech lab one day next week and chat with the techies. Supposedly we have a tech support person JUST for nursing. That would be nice. And I need to buy a printer card. And another name as the one I bought isn't exactly correct. It's suppose to say "GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY, then my name, then STUDENT NURSE." And it is supposed to be all in caps, for some reason or another. Oh well, two name tags isn't a biggie. Especially since I got an extra set of scrubs for free (courtesy of last year's students).
J's team won both their soccer games today. My compromise was going to one game and staying home for one game. I work better in the morning or late at night, so I went to the late afternoon game and worked in the a.m. Tomorrow there are also two games and I will try to get to one of them, too.
Nothing else school wise happened today. I did sign up for the Evole online support for the textbooks. I guess it's something to do with videos and practice NCLEX questions in addition to what's in the texts. I'm not really sure yet. Evidently it will become obvious at some point. Well, I think I have about 100 chapters to go read in my 65 lbs of textbooks. Oh joy! If only this headache would go away......
