Well, actually, I should start with Thurday madness, but I digress. . .
Today I got up early, thanks to my neighbor who thinks 7:30 AM is a good time to mow the lawn. In the summer, on a day when I didn't HAVE to wake up until, um, 8:00! One more 1/2 hour, and I would not have complained!
Oh well. Got everyone else up to join my in the early morning "I hate having neighbors" tirade. Just kidding. Really! I'm always up for seeing a guy without his shirt on in the back yard first thing in the morning. HA!
We left the house just after 8:40 to take MM home. Why was he at my house overnight? Don't know. SS was also here. I heard her sleeping on the couch as I made my latte this morning. Oh yeah, I did say she could spend the night as long as she left in the morning to go home. She didn't have any money for gas and her battery was dead. Thankfully she too left today.
So back to me...
We drove to DC for RR (why do all these kids have initials that are doubled? These are their real names.) RR graduated from the Ceremonial Guard Training today. Only 15 young people made it through this round of training. They started with 20-something. Airforce and Navy. Anyway, the program started late, but it was nice enough. The weather was pretty nice, especially since it was indoors in a place that had no air conditioning, but did have doors that could be opened and there was a nice breeze. The breeze was nice because it made all of the flag flutter.
I left there with J and N and dropped them at my mom's house to help her get ready for the engagement party tomorrow. Then I went to school for the 'sticking' lab. This is were we put in IV catheters on real live people. I learned now to anchor the site, which for some reason I missed last week.
